Qu-5 to Qu Classic SLink/dSnake connection

Hi!

Apologies if this is obvious, I’ve tried searching and can’t seem to find a definitive answer. Is it possible to connect the new Qu series mixers to the old classic ones via the SLink/dSnake ports? I know this is possible on the SQ, but I can’t seem to see anywhere that definitively says yes or no. I have a Qu-5 and a Qu-SB and I’ve tried connecting them and setting the clock source to SLink on the Qu-5 but it doesn’t seem to work, although it does show a dSnake label and an exclamation point with the message “audio not synced”. Is this only possible with the SQ or is it that I’m doing something wrong?

I’m not sure but I think that old Qu cannot synchronise with another clock. So you have to sync your new qu-5 on old Qu’s clock.

Thanks @harmonica76, I tried this but I still couldn’t get it to work. I’m wondering if it’s a cabling issue so I’ve ordered a different ethernet cable to try.
