I’ve been running my Qu 16 and Logic for about 6 months. About a month ago, I’ve had this problem of the master fader on the Qu 16 jumping to full volume when I:
- Open a project
- Make an edit in Logic (delete a take, make a change in the preferences, etc.
It seems to have started around the time I downloaded and loaded the available Qu/ Logic template from this site.
Opening a project that was not created with the template, has the same results. Thus, making me believe it might not be associated with the template.
Any help would be much appreciated.
any software updates in the pc opsys driver or DAW ?
Mac OS - up-date
Logic - up-to-dATE
QU 16 Firmware up-to-date
I just realized that quitting Logic makes the fader drop to the bottom.
Re-launching makes the fader go to full.
up to date does not mean the last update did not cause the problem
what are ALL the settings options in Logic, driver, and opsys
are you using midi for anything?
I agree that a recent update could have caused the problem.
I’m not sure what you are specifically asking for “what are ALL the settings options”
I am not using MIDI
I do have a Helix Rack connected via USB to my computer, and audio cables connected to two channel inputs on the mixer
I do not know all the settings but I can see how there could be one that is causing the problem now
Was the helix rack added after the problem or before it started?
Helix Rack was connected before the issue, and has always worked fine.
I did test with Helix off, and it’s software not running. Same issues with Logic.
Disconnected Helix USB cable from computer and audio cables from mixer.
Still issue persists.
open a trouble ticket. it could be the Qu. At least AH may give you a better clue to your problem.
