Sorry if it’s been discussed already, but I’m wondering if you can use the Qu-drive USB to charge an iPad.
Anyone?

Why don’t you try it?
The words on your tombstone might well be, “He tried it. It didn’t work”.
Of course I could just blindly forge ahead plugging this into that to see what happens, but I’d prefer to take my time and learn if things match up, what the “things are” and gain some insight into the engineering side of things.
Thanks, but no thanks.
The iPad would almost certainly decide that there isn’t enough power and ignore it.
Well, the voltage matches up (5v), but beyond that I can’t find complete info on amperage.
I tired that.
No it dose not charge the iPad
The iPad icon normally goes green when charging.
It dose not change colour when plugged into the QU Drive
iPad2 air
Thanks D.
yea yea bro… its my brand new smoke machine at FOH
ya just plug in the iPad and you get instant toast burning smell!
People love the effect!.
Its early in the morning here so I get this jovial feeling until I’ve dealt with the day!.
I have this friend (whom lives in a bush commune with a bunch of hippes) and sometimes borrows a PA rig for their hoolie and says that to me after I ask him how the gig went.
I figured that the QU drive turns a hard drive and so does a USB port on a puter so give it a try.
I’m sure A & Heath would have tried this to make it idiot proof?
iPad charging is the out of spec item here though…
