QU Drive Playback Routing Issue?

hi. I am running into a weird issue and I’m not sure if I am misreading the manual, or if something else is going on.

I am doing a multitrack recording on the SD card. I have the direct inputs for the channels I want patched properly, and I can confirm they did record without issue. The problem I am having is playback. When I select the multitrack to play back it will load, then when I press play for some reason all of the “outputs”(?) change and I cannot hear anything played back on the individual channels as I would expect.

What’s up with this? Is this intended behavior by some setting I can’t figure out, or is this a bug?

It looks like I can’t attach a video here, so here is a link that shows this behavior:

any insight would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Are all your playback channel sources selected as USB inputs instead of local or slink I/O? If not, I believe they should be.

Jumping in on that reply. Presumably you need to create a new scene specifically for playback? Each recorded channel could then be given its own channel? Thanks Kim.

I use different User-Libs for I/O Patching.

One User-Lib for Input from “Live”/HW Input

A second User-Lib for Input from USB.

On this way I only change the I/O-Patching and not the whole scene.

following up on this - you guys were right, you have to patch the USB/Card inputs back to the channels for the multitrack to be routed back into the channel lineup. idk why this wasn’t obvious to me…I think this line in the manual confused me “Meters switch automatically to show either signal being recorded or played.”

also worth nothing that the input patch libraries are definitely the way to go rather than entire scenes. Great suggestion.
