Qu drive recording main L/R

First mixer. Still learning.

The Qu5.

I’m trying to record multitrack and a simple single track mainL/R aka the monitor mix for the Main L/R PAFL.

When I go to I/O in the USB section I have all my direct outputs for individual instruments and mics.

I’m not sure which one records the mains though. Under mixes there

MAIN LL

MAIN LR

MAIN RL

MAIN RR

And so on.

I’m a little confused why there are so many and how I just get a single one track stereo recording of the entire band using the Main L/R mix.

Thanks all.

G.

Just have a look at the manual (available in the download area), chapter 14, pages 95 and following.

Just a heads-up, in case you’ve confused some terms:
Main L/R is usually the main mix, not a monitor mix.
And PAFL is simply a function for monitoring individual input or mix channels and has nothing to do with recording.

I’m not familiar with the QU in practice, but I have, of course, read the user guide.
However, I’m also having problems to finding an answer to your question there.

If you want to record a mix, even a simple stereo recording of your MainLR to a USB stick, I don’t see your four sources listed under selectable sources, but only, and logically to me, the two channels:

MainLR L
MainLR R

Also, check out YouTube videos about your QU - start with the recently released series from A&H on this topic.
