QU5d Mix outputs question

Hello, all. I have a question about the mix outputs for the QU-5d.

I’ll have a setup with a stage box where I’ll be running most of the ins/outs. We’ll be using the stage box for IEM mixes, and three local outputs at FOH into a drive rack for the Sub, L/R.

My question is: If I assign two of the local outputs for the Main L/R, can I still use those outputs at the stage box for IEM mixes? Or will it just output the Main L/R mix instead?

If by “stage box” you mean one of Allen & Heath’s S-Link connected boxes or a Dante stage box, then these are additional and completely distinct. They don’t mirror local outputs and can have any outputs you desire routed to them (this can include mirroring local outputs, too, but it’s not required.)

An analog snake to a stage box would, of course, only carry signals to and from the local connectors it is plugged into.

Yep! It’s an S-Link connection. Thanks for the info!

As mentioned, S Link stage box I/O will add to the total available.

Almost all my Church Input and output for my Qu-5 is via an AB168 that’s actually in my sound room, while my mixer is in the Sanctuary. I just swapped out the old SoundCraft rack mixer to minimize my re-rerouting work necessary.

All my mic inputs = stage box
Physical outputs = stage box
Livestream Aux Mix = mixer out
My external MP3 player is physical input mixer as well.
I get Mac audio back through a USB.

Anyway, within the routing area, select the SLink I/O to get stage box for input X or output Y, while the mixer itself is still open to connect as you see fit.
