Recorded SD tracks no longer recognised by mixer

I recently recorded a complete gig onto SD card (15 tracks) and was able to successfully play it back from the SD card through the mixer for soundchecks and generatl listenting - great feature. I was able to copy the tracks onto a Mac to mix them there. I used Audacity to create a smaller sample of the whole recording and wrote it to the SD card using the file naming convention. Now I find the mixer will not recognise ANY of the previous multi-track recordings on the SD card (not just the one I created). I have run a ‘disk repair’ on the card but it still will only recognise new recordings, even though my Mac says they are there on the card. I didn’t change any of the original recordings at all, so I can’t understand why this has happened - something to do with the way the Mac writes the index structures vs the way the CQ expects them to be ? Exasperated as it was a very useful recording that I’ve now ‘lost’. There must be some way of ‘repairing’ the SD card so the mixer will recognise the files again, but I’m at a loss.

Did you use a different samplingfrequency/Bitrate when saving with audacity?

You may misunderstand me … The mixer does not see the files/folder I created with Audacity, but the issue is it doesn’t see the files that it created in the first place, even though they are clearly there (according to the Mac) Something about adding a file/folder to the SD card has thrown it into a wobbly. If I record a track anew to the SD card then it works fine; the mixer finds it and can play it back, but not ones that were created before I added the files from audacity. I have tried changing the sample frequency on the SD card config page but it makes no difference. My suspicion is that the Mac has messed the file indexes somehow, done some Apple thing that the mixer can’t cope with.

I restarted the mixer, and recalled a different scene, and this seemed to resolve the problem. Which is both good, but also frustrating as I don’t understand what has changed…!. I think the message is to be very careful saving files to the SD card in any way other than from the mixer, as it seems to throw the mixer in some way.
