Anyone know if there is a contact closure to MIDI usb interface available? I have found MIDI to contact closure interfaces.
It would be used to put a QU Pac into shutdown mode remotely from a power sequencer.
MIDI Solutions has what you need.
In my searching since posting the question I found the MIDI solutions web site. Any suggestions for a good and simple MIDI to USB interface?

It would be interfacing between the MIDI device and the USB B connection on the mixer to remotely put the mixer into the shutdown mode.
I think that calls for a MIDI host adapter. The adapter takes the place of a computer; it talks to the USB device (using a USB A to B cable), passing data to and from the 5-pin ports on the adapter.
Take a look at the CME devices on Amazon, for example. They start at about $50.
(I can’t vouch for CME; I just recall having seen them on the web.)

For anyone following along I got this to work perfect…with a little form David here and the support at MIDI solutions. The contact closure to MIDI interface is a MIDI soultions footswitch controller and the MIDI to USB interface is the mentioned CME unit.
It worked great to put the QU in the power mode remotely from a contact closure trigger from the system power sequencer.
For what it’s worth this was for a system with the original QU series.
