How does one EQ a room using the SQ7? What equipment do you need? What is the procedure to perform a room EQ?
Use the pink noise signal generator of the SQ7 and feed that to the main speaker stacks.
You then require a decent reference microphone and spectrum analyser to adjust the EQ on the SQ7 outputs feeding the mains.
Or just listen and adjust…
At a pinch, you could use a decent microphone as an input to the SQ7 and use the onboard RTA on that input channel to see the result.
It will always be a compromise, as it will sound different at different locations in the space.
Of course (and this may be herasy) there are people that say not to bother to EQ for the room. Better to EQ each microphone/instrument input to sound good in the available space. Just use the output PEQ in case of extreme audio issues.
There are plenty of YouTube videos and online documents on the subject if you want to read more.
