I want to multitrack record our band rehearsals to the SQ Drive. My inputs are all coming from a GX4816 stagebox, and I’m outputting the Main LR mix to our FOH speakers.
How do I output the channels to both the Main LR mix/FOH speakers and to the multitrack SQ Drive?

Hi Russ,
There are a couple of ways you can do this. You can use IP Direct Outs - the source point of which can be changed in the Routing screen, or Tie Lines - which are sourced straight from the preamp.
All the patch is handled in the I/O screen, the sources are on the left hand side and the destination is on the top - so for IP Direct Outs, patch Outputs > IP Direct Outs (on the left) to USB (at the top). It’s similar for Tie Lines, you’d want to select Tie Lines on the left and USB at the top.

Make sure you understand the differences of Direct Out vs Tie Line. Depending on what you want to do with the recorded material, this is very important.
Direct Out includes, depending on the pickup point, some or all IP channel processing. Whereas signals from Tie Lines is the “raw” unprocessed (but gained) signal.
I thought this info might be useful, as Max didn’t point that out explicitly, but might be confusing to the unexperienced.
