Safe Remote Powerdown

I would like to integrate an Avantis into an existing church system which uses (sequenced) remote power control.

Unfortunately there does not appear to be a way to remotely trigger the console’s powerdown sequence; and no, there’s nothing in the TCP/IP MIDI commands document.

This is a “show stopper” for us because more than 90% of the time our PA is operated “headless”, currently via a Crestron (for power on/off and preset selection), and we need to be able to have the same functionality.

Has anyone here successfully solved this problem?

We use a 4 step sequencer. We manually shut down the console (Utility - Shutdown) and then start system shutdown through the sequencer. At startup of the sequencer the board will come back up - just leave the on/off switch ON - never turn the switch off.

Our existing system uses 4 way sequencing, too.

The problem is the requirement to trigger a software halt on the console. This completely breaks our staff’s current work flow and would be met with considerable resistance.
