Samsung A9+ 8GB RAM with CQ MixTab?

Hi. Is anybody out there using a Samsung tablet A9+ 8GB RAM to run CQ MixPad? I just want to check that CQ MixPad will work OK on this tablet. CQ MixPad requires 64-bit OS and I tried Samsung’s tech help to confirm this but just got something copied and pasted from their website that didn’t really answer my question. It appears that some Samsung tablets may have 64-bit OS running in 32-bit mode. Elsewhere I’ve found that if a device has more than 4GB RAM then it should run 64-bit OS. Or maybe everything’s 64-bit now and I’m out of date :slight_smile: So just before I go out buy a Samsung tablet A9+ 8GB RAM, I thought I’d check here if anybody can tell me they’re running CQ MixPad OK on this tablet. Thanks for any help.

All recent Android devices run 64bit processors. As you noted, if the device has more than 4gb of ram, it HAS to be running a 64bit processor. There shouldn’t be any compatibility issues with you using that device to run the CQ MixPad software.

There are still a lot of Android tablets on the market running 32-bit OS, unfortunately, and it can be very difficult to spot them just from the specs. If the tablet has more than 4GB of RAM, it does guarantee that it’ll be 64GB, but if it has 4GB or below, it might still have a 32-bit OS. Sometimes the device might have a 64-bit capable OS version and 64-bit capable hardware and still run at 32-bit. It can be a real challenge to unpick the lower end of the market in this regard.

As you’ve spotted, our apps require a 64-bit OS.

Thanks Mark. Yep, I’m at the lower end of the market here because I don’t really need a tablet except for CQ MixTab so I’m just trying to save a bit of money here if I can but I am getting the A9+, + for its 11 inch screen :slight_smile:

In Vasen Like this I let the Store Check it for me. It takes some minutes and the Download is done, and you can run the Demo.

If you buy in the Internet and it does Not work, you just return.

I’m using an A9+ with only 4GB and MixPad runs perfectly! (Didn’t know I hade to check OS before I bought it, so I was just lucky I suppose…)
