I installed our new Qu-16 for our band in a 55+community. Being rusty and new to the Qu-16 I setup a scene that had all my preset processing. During rehearsal I made multiple tweaks to LR, Mon, gain, eq, etc. at the end of the session I thought I had saved all the changes, but no, I inadvertently saved the original scene and NOT the changes. 4hrs shot.
I’ve watched countless videos, read the manual and still cannot figure out how to save a scene.
A step by step procedure would be so useful for this 80 year old guy, lol. I just can’t figure it out.
The console doesn’t automatically save itself once you tweak some changes. After a practice session and you are satisfied with the changes you have made, you have to go back to the scene tab, select the scene to save to and click on store. A pop up menu will appear to confirm and select yes. That way you will have saved the scene.
When you power on the console the next day or whatever time the service begins, go to scene, select the saved scene and click on recall. All your settings will be restored. Hope this helps.
Perhaps just a misunderstanding, but when you save something, it’s always the current state.
So if you make changes and then store a scene, it will always contain the changes.
What might have happened is that you overwrote the original scene instead of saving a new one, but your changes shouldn’t have been lost!
To avoid overwriting, you should always select an empty scene slot when saving.
It is always important to use meaningful names when saving scenes (or shows), e.g., with a date.
And it is even more important to always save important scenes to a USB stick (Setup - USB Data - Scenes), even in the form of shows, which can then contain multiple scenes (Setup - USB Data - Shows).
And don’t forget to make a backup copy of the USB stick.
Tip from this 71 yr old guy: practice the “scene saving” procedure, change 1 setting and save the scene (or save to a new scene). Then check weather you have been succesfull
