Scaling issue CQ Mixpad app

Hi there,

I’m a new member to the A&H family and proud owner of a CQ18t, which just blows my mind in terms of workflow and portability.
I just have a small yet annoying issue with the mixpad app. Somehow, it is not scaling right on my android smartphone (Pixel 8 running android 15).
The app is not scaling right. Parts of the image are not visible. This notably makes pressing the “connect” button on the home-screen almost impossible. (there is a tiny line that I managed to touch, but then the bottom half of the screen remains not visible, so the mute buttons and other things are not accessible)

I’ve found a workaround this, which is to change the default scaling settings on my phone to it’s tiniest position. Then, the app is scaled correctly, but everything else is too small to work with.

This is the only app on my phone that displays this scaling issue when using android on the default scaling levels, so I figured it must be something in the code of the app.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Cheers,
Tim

Yes, and the problem seems to be already known:

Thank you! I’ll wait for an update and scale manually until then.
Cheers!

I tried changing the screen resolution to the highest setting and it fixed everything. The only issue is that it has more battery consumption.

For what it’s worth, the last Android update on my Galaxy S23 also screwed up screen scaling for a few different apps and websites.

Unfortunately, this is the way things are now. Seems like every new update to anything screws up something else. Android updates screw things up, every time my TVs or streaming devices update, something gets messed up, every time Windows updates…well..that’s a complete nightmare…

That’s one of the advantages of the Soundcraft UI24R. It presents a web interface that even works on linux and older hardware. No app needed.
