Hello!
I have a problem with scene recall filters.
The showfile is a few years old and quite complex, and went through several firmware revisions. Now its on the latest firmware, and is used with UFX card.
I’m using quite some scenes with a very limited recall filter (one channel and Dyn8 for example, of only some FX values, …).
With recalling the showfile for some channels some settings become unblocked in the recall filter scope.
If i correct the scope, save the showfile and recall again these channels are unblocked again.
Does anyone from you know this behaviour?
I thought about recreating the showfile, but this would be a lot of work, I’m trying to avoid that…
I would open a ticket with A&H, send them your showfile and let them crosscheck.

IMHO, there is a terrible “bug” in the scene recall system. What happens is that any update to the way you have your busses assigned (ie you change how many busses are assigned as auxes, groups, matrixes, PAFL, etc, etc, etc) will remove all of the scene recall filters (specifically any set to “block” recall) on the effected busses.
In other words, if you have a scene filter that blocks “Everything” and you go and change your buss structure so that instead of 8 auxes and 8 groups, you now have 6 auxes and 10 groups, the scene recall filters for those 4 affected busses will no longer be set to “block” but will have magically changed to “allow”. This filter change will have happened on every saved scene too.
I have no idea if this is actually the “problem” you are experiencing or not, but it is something to be aware of. ANYTIME you change how your busses are assigned, you need to go though every single scene that has a filter and check them. Because by default the system will have removed every single “blocking filter” that was related to the busses that changed.
It’s also possible that this happens when you change a channel from “stereo” to “mono” and vice versa because this setting is the same level of programming as the buss setup. But I haven’t tested it to be 100% sure.
This behavior I know.
It’s a bit annoying, but at least I know that I need to go through the filters.
I didn’t change something, I had a saved showfile with the correct filters and was recalling it.
I’ll send the file to A&H, maybe the problem is sitting in front of the desk

Has the scene itself been stored again recently, or just the filter changed?
I can imagine a scenario where a scene does not have the required data structure for some (more recent) parameter/bus/channel, so the filter settings pertaining to the parameter have no where to be saved.
If that were happening, storing the scene again might create the needed data structure(s).

IMHO, “a bit annoying” is an understatement. I’ve been bit by it I think at this point ten too many times and have mostly stopped using scenes except for special shows when I actually have time to triple-check everything.
I agree.
The fact that the system can change filters on a “locked” scene is completely unacceptable. The fact that the system can change “locked” scenes means the use of scenes is a complete crapshoot. Sometimes your scenes may have been changed by the system and sometimes they may not have been. You will have no idea until you actually check each and every scene.

Has there been any feedback from A&H yet?
