The button that recalls a scene should say “Recall” and not Go
This would be consistent with other mixers and also the Save button.
this would only be consistent with other brands not with A&H mixers…
there is a “GO” button at least on the dLive
and it’s ok for us
+1
I don’t see a major problem either, it’s just a habit.
of course this is unusual after switching from another desk brand, but the command “GO” is really clear.
I think Go is silly. my GLDs and Yamaha desks say Recall.
On the screen screen there are three or more actions you can take. How does GO mean Recall?
If there was a screen with only Recall functions, then perhaps having Go might work. OK is also used often and in several places in the SQ.
I only ask that someone go through all the screens and make sure they are consistent.
I think Go is smart.
I use my SQ mainly for theatre. I also run both sound and light at the same time during performances, so doing a number of board actions is near impossible. I use scene next and previous on soft keys and save my show in. order scene for scene. I also have Scene Recall Go on a soft key. This way, when the stage manager gives me a stand by I can hit the scene next soft key. And when the stage manager says “Go” I can then be in the correct state of sound.
Seems pretty clear to me.
The Behringer/Midas boards use Go as well; it’s parallel to the Go button on ETC light boards, and in Qlab, and is aimed at theatrical use, since that’s the word your stage manager cues you with.
Ok. Thanks. Good points.
