All flash memory have limitations on the amount of data they can write, so will eventually fail.

It sounds like this has been a years worth of regular recording. If so, ShadowSound’s comments are spot on. You could try reformatting the card, but I suspect it has reached the end of it’s data transfer life expectancy and I wouldn’t suggest that you trust it with any important data, even if you do get it to read again.
If on the other hand you mean that you recorded something a year ago and now suddenly the data isn’t readable, it is possible that the drive has suffered from “bit rot” where individual bits of data (0’s and 1’s) can flip to their opposite state. When this happens, it corrupts the data and makes it unreadable.
