I know i know, it’s higher territory.. but since people keep asking for stuff proper engineers shouldn’t need, let’s ask for something some engineering folks are uber-happy about, for a change.
how about the option to turn one of the (stereo) matrices to an additional cue-bus? so for monitors, you could cue wedge & IEM. you know, like the japanese do, it’s quite nice.
AND how about the option, to send a channel straight to the matrix? that way you could accommodate all the fancy talkbalk mics that everyone is so thrilled about these times.
worth a try.
That would be nice but for now there is a way to cheat the cue bus, there’s a video on YouTube from Mono on how to do it. Here is the link https://youtu.be/QCzcD1DSXns?si=emqP1CXMrqSdnxm8 It’s a workaround but it makes it useable at least. For the input to matrix have you tried making a TalkBack group and using that as the external in on the matrix? Or you could use the external in on the pafl bus. That way they’re always in your ears.

that’s almost half the stuff i wished for, kind of! thank you, very interesting! i’m just so quick on that menu that i never really noticed the extIn function.
channel to matrix would be more flexible, but for a desk its size it’s definitely already a nice thing to have.
