Sending a congregation mic to the matrix without going to the main outputs

How would you send an input channel for a congregational mic to the matrix without going to the main speaker outputs?

AHM has no main output, it is all matrix.

You would need to create a matrix that is separate from the PA outputs/matrixes. This new matrix would be dedicated to the broadcast mix (I’m assuming this is what you are using it for). Even if you send the Main LR mix to this broadcast matrix (which I don’t recommend), you could add the congregational mics into the matrix as well. The output of this matrix would go to into the broadcast system.

The PA outputs/matrixes would stay the same as they have been - without the congregational mic being added.

AHM has no main mix.

The AHM doesn’t, but the console does. It wouldn’t be unusual to send several different sources to the AHM (Main LR buss from console, audience mics, etc) and then combine those sources into an AHM matrix - in this case a broadcast matrix built from the various parts/sources.

Obviously it’s probably easier to build this “broadcast matrix” in the console but it the console is out of busses/matrixes, this is a valid option. I’m assuming the OP made this post in the AHM section for a reason, but that might be a flawed assumption too.

Waits for this ro be a question relating to either SQ5 or Qu-32

I doubt that.

Hope I have understood the question…we set our sq5 with congregation mic input outputs to aux sends set as pre input slider. Input slider stays at zero, hence nothing to main LR. Other aux mixes (streaming, recording, etc) can be given congregation mic as required. Kim
