Not sure if I’m stupid and this is already possible and maybe I’m missing this option? Once I’ve assigned an effects send on the right side of the screen, I can turn up the send value, but to activate it, I have to go into the ROUTING function to actually turn it on. Is there a faster ON/OFF switch on the surface?
No, unfortunately no other way for this task yet. Not even „actions“ with fw2 brought this feature.
This is asked for for years in this forum, but no luck so far…
Assign button on the surface does exactly this.
You can always create a scene that adjusts the FX send levels to whatever you need. Perhaps you create one scene with the send level at -inf and one scene with the send level at unity. You can put a recall filter on the scene to block everything but that single FX Send level. Now you can recall a scene to achieve the desired results. Put that scene recall on a custom button or action and it’s even easier to use.
Did I miss something?
If you want to switch on the sends, it’s the same as assign them to a mix. If you select the mix button of an input channel, you have all the destinations on the bus strips available if configured. The assign button together with the associated mix buttons turn the sends on or off.
I clearly misunderstood or read too much into the OPs question the first time around. I just re-read the OP and even I don’t understand my initial answer! ?
Sure there are ways to turn on/off sends somehow. But none of them are really helping in the way I want to mix during the show where fast and easy access is the point. Especially for FX sends that is.
Right now I am helping myself with a actions setting send levels. But as FX sends in my opinion are very much tied to the acoustics of a room this now means to set levels during soundcheck and then reprogram the actions. Not convinient at all… ?♂️
