Setting Sample Rates

Page 69 of CQ manual states:-

Sample Rate
Select between 48kHz or 96kHz. This affects USB-A recording, the USB-B connection to a computer and SD card recording. With SD card recording on the CQ-18T and CQ-20B, up to 16 channels can be recorded or played back at 96kHz and all available channels can be recorded or played back at 48kHz.

-SD card playback of 48kHz multitracks is not possible when set to 96kHz and vice versa.

Can anyone clarify if that means any of the channels available in multi stream up to a count of 16 or just the first 16 channels. ie is ST 1 included and if so presumably thats 2 channels?

Cheers
David

Hi David,
When set to 96kHz, the CQ will record the first 16 channels you have armed. i.e. if you armed channels 1-20, it would record 1-16 but not 17-20. Or if you armed channels 1-4 and 9-22 it would record all of them except channels 21-22.
This means to record channels higher than number #16 you just need to un-arm (de-arm? dis-arm?) some channels #16 or lower.
and yes, multitrack recording always records mono channels, so if you record both channels of a stereo input, this will be recorded as one file for left and one for right.
Thanks, Keith.
