side chain

Hi there!

I didn’t find the side chain input on the compressor or multiband compressor?
Is this a feature that the GLD80 doens’t have?

I really could use the sidechain input on my bass bus compressor to let it pump to my kick channels.

I’m doing sound for a electro live band and can really use this feature on the GLD series.

Any suggestions how to make it pump without the side chain? I’m using an external mixbus compressor and could sidechain that with the direct output from the kickdrum

Sadly the only option for sidechaining sources on the channels’ compressors on the GLD is “self.”

My first though was if you had an external compressor with a sidechain input you could use that: insert the compressor across the bass bus, sidechain it to the kick’s DO, but it sounds like you’re already doing that.
