At the moment the sidechain filters for the gates and compressors on SQ have the following ranges:
Hi-Pass (20-5k)
Band-Pass (120-10k)
Lo-Pass (120-20k)
All with Q=1
I notice often when I’m gating toms or focussing a compressor on low end information the range of the band-pass filter could use an extra octave down under.
Would it be possible to expand the range of the sidechainfilters on SQ?
Why not just use the low pass which goes to 20Hz?

You can be more precise with bell curves/bandpass filters, especially if you have, for instance, 2 floor toms and a kick drum all with a fundamental very closely to eachother. It gives you, in my experience, the ability to have the threshold a lot lower making the gating sound a lot more natural.
I work a lot on both SQ and a CL5 and it’s so much easier to use the gates (and compressors) with the side chain bandpass filter being full range on the CL5. There you even have control over the bandpass Q.
