Unfortunately, a bad CAT cable provided by a venue damaged the SLink port on my brand new SQ-5. Has anyone had a similar problem and replaced the EtherCON socket? I guess only an official Allen & Heath service center can do it.
AFAIK an official service center will just replace the card, not the individal connector.
Ethercons arent the easiest to replace om a PCB but theyre not the hardest either. Depends on your skill level. The big thing is not damaging anything else in the process.
Night be cheapest just to get an Slink card for the expansion port and use that instead.

Yep it’s definitely totaled. Call the insurance company for a new, new desk. 
Alright, jokes aside: Ethercon, network and USB connectors are on a daughter board, easy to replace, and quite cheap. You’ll not have to replace the mainboard if no one wants to do the component level repair. Contact A&H to get hooked with a service center.

Thank you, desk shipped today to my A&H dealer… they said they will replace it in few days, fingers crossed.
Desk just returned after 7 days, Ethercon port replaced without changing the whole board!
They did it free of charge so kudos to my italian dealer : )
