Snap To Whole Numbers on Ipad controls for CQ-20B

I did the most recent update on my CQ-20B a few days ago 12-8-25 and there is one feature request I was hoping for that is still not present.

Since the CQ-20B is controlled completely by fingers on an ipad, tablet, etc. and not with a physical knob, sometimes when making adjustments, for instance the HPF on a vocal strip, I want to set it at 100 but it takes me several seconds to actually “land” on 100hz…I usually sit there moving my finger back and forth somewhere between 99.x to 100.x even when using the “fine adjustment” motions recommended in the owner’s manual.

My suggestion to fix this would be allowing a “snap” to the nearest 10 or 100 or 1 or whatever is appropriate for the given control…for instance on HPF filters 10 is probably fine, on a compressor makeup gain maybe the nearest 1.

Does this make sense and is it something that can be implemented soon? When I have to make quick adjustments during a live show in between songs for my trio, duo, or solo, I usually just have to settle for some decimal in between what I want (ie HPF at 89.6 instead of where I want it at 90), but I’d prefer a little more precision and without going to analog controls, the snap idea might work.

Thanks for the consideration!

It is a good idea to solve the problem. I can mention that Mackie’s Master Fader app has solved it by allowing the user to tap on the numbers (the readout, not the knob or fader) which enables text entry mode with the soft keyboard appearing. Allowing one to enter whatever exact value is wanted.

That’s a good idea too…or just don’t have decimals as options where it doesn’t really matter…I’d rather have 90 hz rolloff than 90.4. Do we need that level of precision?

This is a good point and something you can do on the Soundcraft Ui series.
