Soft Case Recommendations for CQ-18T

The soft A&H case is currently on backorder- some saying not until mid December.
Any recommendations for a compact soft case?
The Gator mixerbag 1515 seems about the right dimensions but a bit loose and obviously doesn’t have the cut-out foam to hold.

Any other options people are using, other than the A&H case, that they’re happy with?

TIA.

I would recommend a laptop bag while you are waiting on the A&H case. I repurposed an old laptop bag I had lying around and it works great, plenty of room for the mixer and power supply as well as some assorted cables. I’m considering just using this and not getting the official case as it fits really well and is nice and compact.

I have a number of Cobra bags from Terralec, one holds another digital mixer.

Budget hard case option.

Use this with the supports from the box or some bubble wrap

I sent the genuine A&H CQ case back due to a lack of spare space for anything else than the console and power supply. It’s bulky and didnt work for my needs.

Old thread but I bought this for my CQ18T and it fits almost perfectly.

I aded a couple of pieces of foam to go around the edges of the mixer just to make it a little more snug. It has a separate compartment with plenty of space for things like the power adapter, a couple of TRS to XLR pigtails for the Aux outs, and other random odds and ends. It’s a soft-case though so just avoid tossing it around or placing heavy things on top of it.

I use the Gator Transit, a bit more pricey but great build, small, and snug fit with extra pockets for psu, cables and iPad.

Cool. The one I linked to also has external pocket for an iPad/tablet and interior storage I’m using to keep the psu, a spare psu, TRS to XLR pigtails for the aux outs, Alto and Xvive bluetooth receivers to play break music from my phone, various charging cables, a small powerstrip and a couple of other odds and ends.

I like Gator gear and have quite a bit but the one you linked to is a bit more than I wanted to spend. But if the one I have ends up falling apart I might spring for the Gator.

Yeah I hear you, if I’d seen your case I might have went for that instead, looks like there is more room for stuff! And amazing price. I saved it to my wishlist, maybe I’ll snag it yet.
Great suggestion.

Harbor Freight sells a Pelican-style case that the CQ fits well in. About $40.

Are you talking about the Apache 3800?

Does anyone have any photos they can share of how they have configured the FOAM in the Harbor Freight hard case? Did you create two rows to hold extra cables, etc? Love to see, before I start cutting my foam. Thank you …

I will try to remember to get a photo tomorrow, but all I did was make row in the bottom half big enough to hold the power adapter, then cut out the top half big enough to fit the mixer.

Here’s what I am using.
