SQ Mixpad auto-update / backward compatability

Got seriously screwed yesterday. Had a multi-band sound gig in a place without 4G access. Installed everything - went to do the soundcheck with the first band only to find that MixPad on my Android tablet had updated itself to version 1.6 which refused to talk to my SQ5 (which is on version 1.5).

To Allen and Heath I say either (and preferably) make your app(s) backwards compatible or, on issuing an update, give it a new entry on Google Play. To other SQ users - beware!!!

Hi. Yep just found the other posts . . . guess I shoul dhave done a better search first. Still think some word from A&H would be welcome . . .

Unfortunately that’s no save way either.
The new app versions are installed on your devices regardless if you know about the FW update or not.
I don’t want to know, how many people are stuck out there without even knowing what hit them…
