Hi,
My phone (Samsung Galaxy S22+) updated the other day and now the SQ doesn’t show in the list to connect to.
Android version is 13
Console and MixPad both on 1.5.x
Other tablet and laptop on same network work fine.
Mixing Station can see and connect to it no problem.
So it seems that the Android/Samsung update must be blocking MixPad somewhere…
A bit more info…
I can connect if I enter the IP address so it’s just auto discovery that has stopped working.
I have reinstalled the app just in case but no change.
And a bit more information…
The Wi-Fi Network shows empty on the Choose Unit page. I am connected to the Wi-Fi network of course, and the SSID isn’t hidden and works fine on other Android devices including this one until recently.
Take a look at this post–it seems a security update/change in later versions of Android broke auto-discovery (or that’s how I read it). You’ll have to manually connect.
Thanks Brent,
That would explain it.
Hopefully (!) there will be a feature release firmware update in the near future which will require an app update too anyway so should get resolved then.
SQ MixPad 1.5.4 released yesterday I think has resolved this for me ?
