I am working on a musical using a SQ5 and using the software TheatreMix to make it easy to assigning channels to DCAs and change the assignments per scene. We are still using console scenes to deal with monitor mixes, FX send levels, and band mutes
TheatreMix deals with assigning channels to DCAs and muting channels not assigned to DCAs. TheatreMix works best when it only affects channels that you want on DCAs and then you can leave your band and playback channels separate.
It would be very useful to be able to safe individual channels parameters.
To allow TheatreMix to deal with the mutes on the wireless channels we need to safe the wireless channels, but we also want to be able to mute instruments, so it seems the only way for us to do this is to block the recall of the whole channel for the channels controlled by TheatreMix. In doing this we loose the ability to change the sends of each channel to create different FX send levels and different monitor mix levels per scene.
