I record rehearsals on an MBP using LiveTrax2. Is there a way to set up a soft key to switch our live mixing inputs to USB… and back again at will? This would make it easier for volunteers to work with the system efficiently or quickly fix situations where someone forgot to re-save a scene to live inputs from USB.

Set up a USB input patch library.

That is what we have done.

Load a ‘live’ scene. Go into the input patch menu, press the ‘library’ button and load the ‘USB’ input patch to change the mix inputs from the local inputs (say) to the USB inputs (once you have configured and saved your USB input patch of course).

If you create 2 scenes one for Live and one for playback you can setup 2 soft keys to recall each scene. Use the recall filter to only recall the patching elements.
