SQ V1.6 USB Latency

I just did some latency measurements on V1.5.11 and now on V1.6.

And I’m proud to announce that they really lowered the latency of the consoles USB interface.

Testing Setup:

  • Channel 1 set to USB Input 1
  • Main L is routed to USB Output 1
  • RTL Utility is used for round trip latency measurements
  • 32 Samples at 96 KHz

Testing Results:

  • V1.5.11: 12.104ms
  • V1.6: 7.031ms

May I add some information to clarify the statement?

The consoles’ latency hasn’t changed I guess, it’s only the USB interface latency that has changed.
