SQ with Studio One DAW

Hi,

Has anyone managed to get SQ and Presonus Studio One working together?

I’m having no luck. Any tips/tricks appreciated ?

Andy

I meant to add …it’s a Windows based system.

I have Studio One 3. All I’ve had to as this is my work laptop and had to reinstall my OS a few times is just installed the USB audio driver. and i can see it as an interface.

I mainly use the SO to record the shows as i save the templates and record. This way i have channel names and not just the default SQ-drive names.

I have yet to use the DAW Control.

I’ve got a Studiolive 32 Series III for sale that I replaced with a A&H SQ6. It works great with Studio One!!!

PS: This is a joke. I’m not really trying to sell my console here

maybe I’m late but I share this video tutorial

When I evaluated an SQ for my studio, I had success driving Studio One 4.6 with the latest DAW Control by adding the DAW Control ports as “Mackie Control” devices.

However, you have to group them together in the “Control Surface Placement” dialog box (as shown in the attached screenshot) to be able to control a full bank of 16 channels on the SQ control surface.
Also, the “Touch” automation mode does not work properly with the SQ because the SQ fafers aren’t touch sensitive.

Hope this helps!

This thread was helpful in getting DAW control 1.71 to work with Studio One 4.6.1 on a MacBook Pro laptop. Thanks!
