SQ5: 2 mixes to same xlr output?

Hi,
I’m trying to control feedback for two fixed mics (Lectern and Pulpit) in our Sanctuary, there are several other mic inputs as well. I know it is possible to put these mics on their own mix so that I can GEQ their mix differently, but … can I then send this mix to the same xlr output as the mix with the other inputs such that they all go to the same power amp?
Thanks!
BH

Yes, of course that is possible.
Send these channels via a group to L/R and use the group’s GEQ.
Don’t forget to turn off the assignments of these channels to L/R.

I am assuming they are wired. If not, coordinate the frequencies in Wireless Workbench 7 to help you avoid intermodulation. Make sure monitor/house speakers are not pumping their voice at the microphone. Ring out the room to find problematic resonance frequencies for that particular mic and room. If you can surgically lower the problematic freq by 3dbs and see if that helps then turn up the gain till it starts humming. It will most likely be an octave below/above. Try separating the mics. Use auto mic mixer if your mixer has it. SQ has AMM which I use all the time when kids are acting on stage. Cleans up the sound so that there is no sound bleed between mics. Add a gate to their mic so it helps squash issues. Just some ideas. Good luck.
