I can assure you that it usually works without any problems - at least with an AR2412.
So you would have to reveal more information.
If the box was newly acquired and the console is on an older firmware version, I would suggest moving to the latest SQ firmware version. Sometimes there are changes in the manufacturing process that require various components be swapped out due to part availability. Many times these changes require a change in the firmware as well. If you are trying to use a new box on an old firmware, it doesn’t always work.
I did a dowdate with the stage box and then an update, and now it’s working.
