Sq5 usb b mode tab missing

Hi

In basic when going via setup the usb tab is missing, so unable to change usb b mode , we updated to latest firmware but still no joy

Apart from that connecting to a PCB does loads a usb device but doesn’t show as a sound device on example software like audacity, but we assume it’s because of the first issue

Please help

In the release notes included with the firmware, or in the manual, you can find out, that with 1.6 also SQ no longer has separate USB modes.
Depending on the computer you’re using, you may need to install the appropriate audio drivers.

Ok great, we will check the driver install many thanks

Same problem. AH site says no Mac drivers are required….none to download.

It won’t play from my laptop USB (Logic Pro) to SQ5.

What are my options?

Phil

Since you’re addressing me directly: Unfortunately, I’m not the right person to help you with your problem.
But perhaps someone who knows about Mac will reply.

Sorry SQuser….I’ll try again

Everything’s fine - no problem. )

To update what was our issue , it was routing , I still find routing weird

But yes you don’t need anything accept to route the usb to from the input and outputs as you require ,

In the end we used an aux out pre FX routed to the correct usb route and that’s it

You will see that your pc or Mac should find usb outputs eg 12 34 56 78

Just select which ones you want to do what

I probably explained this very badly but it did for us lol :joy:

Yes, in all cases (USB play and record) you have to route the individual USB channels either from an audio source within the SQ, or to an input channel on the SQ.

Otherwise, you get nothing…
