SQ5 with DX168 - Flashing SLink Error

When I connect to my SQ5 DX168, all the SLINK error LEDs flash.

What’s the problem?

Could it be a ip-error?

Mean is the ip of all devices set and Not a Double or wrong ip/subnet Set?

A&H uses for SLink a special transmission protocol that does not use IP addresses.

Is this a new stage box? The mixer may need a firmware update.

Have you tried a different cable?

Check that the pins in the connector S Link connectors are not bent.

Were both devices already working together without this “flashing”?
Are both devices connected next to each other with a short Cat5E cable?
Is another device connected?
What position is the switch in?
What color are the LEDs flashing?
Is your audio perhaps even working, and you’re just wondering about the flashing?
Does it look like this?

I hadn’t used it with this device before, so I thought it was the cable. I switched to another one and it’s still the same. The flickering is like the one in the picture.

The firmware is updated, I also tried changing the cable, but even then it was not solved.

Unfortunately, you probably can’t answer all questions - maybe you don’t have enough time.

But that would be the normal state and the blinking would not be a problem at all.
That’s why I asked, among other things:

Und you’re probably aware that after a console firmware update, the stagebox firmware also needs to update first, which happens automatically, but it takes some time.

Also, the “automatic update process” that the stage boxes need to go through only happens when the box is connected directly to the mixer. This means if you want to use multiple stage boxes with some boxes daisy chained off other boxes and not connected directly to the console, you might need to swap the boxes around. Connect one box directly to the console and allow it to update automatically. Once that is complete, disconnect the first box and connect one of the other boxes directly to the console and allow it to update automatically. You’ll have to rinse and repeat this process until all of the boxes have received the automatic update by being connected directly to the console for a period of time long enough to get the update. Once all of the boxes have been updated, you can then daisy chain them together if needed and everything should work fine.
