Hi there, so I’ve had this issue when we upgraded to the digital SQ6 mixer on how to record sound using an iPhone 15+. I thought that I could use a female xlr to type-c cable to output the sound through and aux, but then how could I level all the channel strips to be always identical for the main when I adjust it and same for the aux mix. Could anyone please help me to figure out how I could keep the same when I adjust it so the audio is exported identical to the left right outputs.
To do this, simply set your aux globally to “Post Delay” and post-fader mode (“All Post”), and set the faders of all input channels involved, including the FX returns, to 0 dB.
This will make your aux mix follow the Main LR mix.
If it’s a stereo aux, however, you’ll need to set all pans there the same way you would in the main mix.
So I’ve also got stage monitors on aux 5, and I’m planning to place the sound cable into aux 6, so would this post fader mode not affect all other auxes output as well?
No.
Each aux can be set separately (see also User Guide page 48).
For each aux you can even set pre/post for each input channel individually.
There is no Aux 6 jack; instead, you must plug the cables into the two output jacks that you assign to your stereo Aux 6.
