SQ6 Software v1.6.1

Hello all,

I did a full burn in test on the SQ6 firmware v1.6.1 and the following morning I ran into a unknown issue where random inputs were cranked at full volume. It was just pink noise or the preamps at full gain?.. Either way I did a reboot and it went away but I’m suspicious it will come back and I’m not fully comfortable to run this for a show until its more stable or at least identified. Anyone else witness this?

I am happy to report the the USB transport playback from one of my previous forum topics is working correctly for my long FOH playlists on USB!

Man, that is unsettling. I just bought an SQ6 and updated to this firmware. Is this firmware ready for primetime? I hope buying the SQ series was not a mistake, I’m following this thread with interest.

FYI, I was updating from a very stable build of v1.5.10. So this is a first time I’ve ever had something like this happen. @artisanav I rarely have major software issues that directly impacts show quality and Allen & Heath is probably the only company I would trust to support us in a pinch. Just need to give them some time and report these issues so they are aware. Also, I have booted the console multiple more times and this issue has not re-appeared since. It only occurred on my first boot up of the new firmware so maybe something corrected itself by now? Still observing thou…

Is it possible that it is/was the same rare problem?

Looks similar indeed! Except ours was every input on the desk. I’m hoping to test 1.6.1 this week. Scary indeed!
