SQ7 Auto mic mixer v1.6 issue

Hey guys I recently updated the SQ7 to version 1.6 and noticed that the auto Mic mixer does not work as well as it did before the update. It seems to allow too much sound bleed. Even the faintest of voices bleed into the other Mic when it is on. I made sure that the channels were in auto mic mixer. I’ve tried it with pressing fader off and fader on and made absolutely no difference. In the previous version when a bunch of kids are speaking on stage the lights above the faders significantly change when AMM is on. However since version 1.6 has been installed it makes no difference. I am hoping it is a simple fix. Another difference that was noticeable was when all of the channels were muted and the auto mic mixer was engaged I was still seeing lights come on at different intensities above the faders. This did not happen in the previous version. In the 1.5 version I did not see any lights come on when AMM was engaged and the channels were muted. Not sure if it is related. I am also using the new cue feature so I’m not sure if that is also related to the issue.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@jonmtme
There were no changes to the actual behaviour of the AMM in SQ V1.6, but one of the main reason the changes to metering and tap of points were put in place was for use with AMM.

The Chromatic Channel Meters (the LED’s above each fader) now follow the Input Meter Source point selected in the Meters > Inputs screen.
If you have this set to anything other than ‘Post Delay/AMM’ then the AMM will have no effect on the input channel metering.
Similarly, depending on how you are monitoring the channels, you may not hear the effect of the AMM gain stage, because mixes and the PAFL/headphone output can all use Input Channel Source points that might not include it. With the Post Compressor option being added to allow all channel processing EXCEPT Delay/AMM to be heard when PAFL’ing an input.
However, the Main LR mix should behave in exactly the same way as it always has, so if you mean the AMM is not working correctly there, please let us know so we can look into it further with you.

Thanks,
Keith.

Thank you so much for getting back to me Keith. I appreciate your detailed response. I went into meters and it said post compressor so I changed it to post AMM. So far there does not seem to be an issue with sound, it was just that the LEDs we’re lighting up when they weren’t supposed to. I have watched your videos countless times and really appreciate you making them. Thank you again.
