Hi folks,

I’m looking at buying an SQ7 system for recording and live applications.
Before I pull the trigger, I’m doing some research.

SQ7 + Dante Option Card
GX4816

SQ7 from FOH connected via S-LINK to GX4816. Maybe use extra DX stage boxes at a later date.

I know USB recording is limited to 32 x 32.

With Dante being 64 x 64, is it possible to use the Tie Lines to patch the SLINK across to the I/O Port Dante Option card
to record all 48 inputs of the GX4816?

Yes you can record with dante virtueel soundcard and reaper 64 channels at 48 Khz.

If you need to record 64 channels at 96khz you have to buy a dante pcie card.

The conversion 48/96 khz is done at the dante card.
