So I am recording directly onto a thumb drive via the USB plug on the front and each recording has multiple errors. This passed Sunday a 45 minute recording had 5 errors. Any help would be appreciated.
Have you tried also another drive, especially one for USB 2.0? There are some reports that USB 3.0 drives can cause recording issues.

the list of USB Thumb drives that record flawless is very short.
First, SQ is running on LINUX. Make sure, your Thumb drive is suited for that. A lot of them is not.
Second: you need a thumb drive, that has a really fast writing speed. 16 Channels in 96kHz is A LOT of data for a USB Stick. Better use a SSD Drive. There is a list of approved ones or a least ones that are reported to work in the SQ Knowlegde Base.
