Stereo Aux configuration, left/right?

In setting up a stereo aux, in this case aux 9/10, I find that I have to go to each aux bus to set the fader level to obtain the stereo field. For example, if I need a backup vocal on the left channel (aux 9), on aux 9, I set the level. Same channel fader on aux 10 is essentially off.

While this works, I was thinking in terms of channel linking, where channel 9 is used to set all levels and the channel fader is used to pan between left/right (aux 9/10).

On the I/O, aux 9/10 is set to stereo.

Am I missing something on this?

It is not clear about which console we are talking.

I don’t understand the problem. If the Aux is stereo, both sides are handled with one fader.

Stereo configuration is not maintained within the routing or I/O screen.

Sorry. The console is a Qu7.

What you said is what I expected. Aux 9 handles the audio for aux 10 if the aux 9/10 is set to stereo. But that is not what I get. I need to set the faders for both 9 and 10.

No. That’s wrong. Aux 9 is already stereo if nothing is changed.

Setup>Config

You will see that Aux 9 and 10 can be Stereo.

Thank you! I believe I have aux 9 and 10 as stereo as well as the I/O Aux mix for 9, LR L and 10, LR R.

I will recheck the configuration as I bet I messed it up.

You can switch Aux 9 as stereo, but it doesn’t use Aux 10 as the right side. Aux 10 can be stereo too.
