Hello! I’m currently using a Qu-16 that is reaching end of service life, and am looking at the new Qu-5. Looks great, but the ST3 1/8” TRS stereo input is gone!! That is my house music MP3 player input. ST1 and ST2 are committed to the keyboards.
PLEASE bring back ST3 !!!
Honestly, there should be more ST stereo inputs to support several more keyboards and/or stereo guitar processors. 1/4” TRS stereo, or 2 x 1/4” TS or TRS balanced would be great. Maybe a feature for and input expansion unit / digital stage box?
If you absolutely need an 1/8” TRS stereo input jack because you can’t or don’t want to use a suitable adapter cable, take a look at the SQ-5 instead of the QU-5, as it still has this type of jack.
The QU-5 has 32 mono input channels, which you can pair to stereo if needed, creating up to 16 additional stereo channels.
Please also refer to page 23 of the User Guide, where, for example, 5 such stereo channels have been configured.
