Stereo linking behaviors

Pre purchase question: what does it look like in Mixpad when you stereo link two inputs or outputs? I think the app may be a bit crippled in demo mode and not showing the truth. For example:

  • Does the two faders become one and move together?
  • Does the two channel names become one?
  • If the two channels were named and colored differently prior to linking, how do those properties merge?

I would be so grateful if someone could answer and maybe even share some screenshots, thanks

Well, I would still like to hear from someone with experience of the CQ. But I did manage to find the following in the manual:

When active, all settings, processing and routing applies to both and only one channel appears in the PROCESSING and FADER screens.

And an image that at least shows how the linked outputs 1-2 have just a single, shared name and are connected with a black rectangle.

Moreover I found this YouTube video that shows the input linking in action as well. Seems like colors and names are taken from the odd channel. And the two faders do become one.

For what it’s worth, I had exactly the same question and answered in the same way – by watching YouTube videos. The fact that the CQ MixPad software doesn’t work this way in demo mode is somewhat unfortunate because, aside from a few quirks like this, it’s an excellent way to explore the capabilities of the device family.
