FW: 1.35 Console: Avantis (standard 2 screen model)
After recalling several different scenes, the fader strips came up with their own assignments having only a few random channels on layer A. The remaining layers were all blank. The setup screen showed the proper strip assignments that “should have” been there, but the physical strips were completely different.
After a power cycle, the problem goes away, and eventually comes back. This console is installed in a church which uses it almost daily for different events. For now I have instructed the operators to only recall a single scene, and manually run their events without scene recalls. I am not sure if actually recalling the scene caused this, or that was a coincidence. Our team is keeping their eyes on this, and will report any issues to me.
Has anyone seen a similar issue with their Avantis? I have been running A&H consoles from across the line for many years and have never seen anything like this happen. It’s almost like memory is becoming corrupted after a certain point, which is likely a hardware issue. I will reach out to AM&S (USA) to see what our next steps are. We need the console and may need to track down another Avantis to use while our current one is sent out for repairs.
Thank you in advance,
-Scott
