Currently the Avantis doesn’t support a get command for the levels or mute states over the TCP API (although it does support get commands for fader names & colours). This means we have no way of keeping an external interface in sync with the state of the mixer.
This functionality is already supported on the SQ range, so it would be good to have feature parity there.
Are you sure about that? I haven’t dived into the MIDI commands myself, but if this was true, software like Mixing Station wouldn’t work correctly. Fortunately, it does.
It’s not documented in the protocol, I opened a support ticket for info and they told me it wasn’t supported & to create a request here.
You might reach out to David, the developer of Mixing Station, and ask how how he is handling this on the Avantis. There must be a work around.
