We have a DM64 with S5000. After powering up the Mixrack, we power up the console surface and most of the time the local audio inputs on the surface doesn’t pass audio until you reboot the surface. Audio passes normally after a reboot and there’s no errors on the surface or mix rack or log. Any ideas?
We had something similar happen about a year ago. We got our integrator and Allen Heath involved. They replaced the audio board in our S5000 surface and it fixed it.
Thanks - Will chat with our distributor and mention your experience
Hello. Similar problem here just this morning ahead of a Church service. All inputs look fine, ME fine, but no outputs of any kind including PFL bus. Nothing leaving the system not even meters on the outputs. We use FOH + 3 matrix fills, matrix for campus and livestream, wedges and choir fills they we all dead silent. My only work around was to patch an ME into the processor for FOH and get sound out so we could mix something with the ME.
Thee are no errors on reboot and both gigace network are active. I have not tried rebooting just the surface but we have restarted the complete system several times. DM64 w/S7000.
Any Ideas welcome. We think we need to get an A&H tech in ASAP.
Our local distributor replaced an audio board in the S5000 surface and it seems to have rectified the problem.
Sorry I didn’t come back to this. Apparently the problem was a bug in the firmware. The same firmware we haven’t touched or made any fundamental changes on this dLive in about a year. How does it wake up one morning and say “I don’t want to work the same way today!”.
In any case updating the firmware seems to have resolved any issues but it makes me wary it’s something more than this that might pop up again.
