Bus, Mighty, Peak76, and OptTronic do not support Surface Preference / Compressor Threshold.
When it is selected, any channel with any of the other compressor models shows threshold and allows adjustment, but any that have these just show the control disabled.
The original 1176 and LA-2A have fixed threshold. The amount of gain reduction is changed by driving the (sidechain) gain. As Peak76 and OptTronic are modeled after these compressors, it totally makes sense, they are having no threshold parameter.
You are correct, poorly phrased request on my part due to features.
Bus & Mighty need threshold support on Surface Preferences. Threshold works on the right side panel, just not on the surface.
Peak76 & OptTronic need something that makes sense, possible Gain (1176) and Peak Reduction (LA-2A). Maybe even worthwhile to add an additional Surface control for Compression Makeup Gain to control output for those that have it.
These issue have existed from the original release through 2.02.
