Surprised by the ME-500

I was prepping a couple of Me-500’s I’d just received last Friday for a gig, and thought they were faulty (they weren’t).

I’d assumed that like their bigger sibling, the Me-1, they’d display the name of a channel on the builtin screen. I’d made that assumption based on the automatic channel assignment capability of the Me-500.

Ok, my mistake, the Me-500’s screen can’t display text. Oh well.

Sooooooo, what do people do to label the keys on the Me-500?

I used white electrical tape and permanent marker.

Has anyone used a PC/Mac based Label printer to quickly whip out some nice neat label strips?

Any suggestions?

As examples, Brother Label Printer Ql700 and the Brother P-touch Cube mobile label maker.
Both of which are on special in my country at the moment.

I label my ME-1 with white magnetic tape and write the names on it.
this has the advantage that I don’t always have to write new strips for different, saved presets.

Cool idea, thanks Wolfgang!
