Talk back assign on hotkeys

I’d love to have the talkback assign on hotkeys so I can select the destination of the talkback when doing In Ear Monitors. This Function is available on Avantis but not.on SQ.

Agree 100%. A work around I use for now is, to patch my talkback input into 2 or 3 open channels, say like Ip 41, 42 and 43. Send each to the desired Aux’s, mute them. And assign their mutes to the soft keys. Then use my soft keys to unmute them and talk to the desired people. Also, this allows me to EQ and slightly compress my talkback if needed. But this eats up Input channels.

Thx . That works indeed but only on the buttons of the soft rotaries. So on sq6 only 4 channels. Would be cool to have it on the other soft keys too (and without loosing an IP. I think I just need a real dLive :winking_face_with_tongue:

What do you mean only on the rotaries? You dont need to assign the send level. Just the mute/ unmute function. So you can use any soft key.

On the rotary´s button you can asign the send on/off of an IP. So you only need 1 IP with the talkback split and you can assign it to 4 auxes

I see what you mean. Sorry my approach was actually different. I would patch the same input socket (Local Talk), to 3 or 4 or 5 spare channels, and have each one be sent to a different aux. (Say Ch 1 to Aux 1, Ch 2 to Aux 2, Ch 3 to Aux 3, etc). So their always sending to the Auxes at all times. But then you just mute them, and use normal soft keys to unmute each channel respectively, depending on which Aux you want to talk to.

Your approach is great If you have a lot of spare channels and need to send to a lot of auxes. Mine is limited to 4 auxes on the sq6, 8 on the sq7 but you lose only one IP

And now I found out you can assign these functions in the sq controll app. So with one input you can create all the assign buttons on a tablet or external computer and talk to any individual output. Next step is to integrate a streamdeck in this app. Please please :folded_hands:t2: :folded_hands:t2: :folded_hands:t2:

That’s up to the companion community. Here’s a list, including SQ control: Bitfocus - Connections
